Turn a wishlist into a real day-by-day plan
The builder is the heart of GetawayChecklist. Tick the places that look interesting, tell it how many days you have, and it sequences everything into a realistic route — grouping nearby stops, respecting pace, and leaving room to breathe.
1. Pick what excites you
Browse curated attractions grouped by region. Skip the obvious if you've done it before — the builder won't pad your trip with filler.
2. Choose your bases
Set the cities you'll sleep in. Add a new base and the nights auto-balance against your total days, so two cities over 14 days becomes seven nights each by default.
3. Let it sequence the days
Picks are clustered by region and ordered for shortest travel between them. Drag any card to fine-tune — your changes save automatically.
4. Lock it in
Set a start date for real calendar labels. Export to PDF or .ics, share a link, or print the whole plan with packing and bookings attached.
5. Switch to map view
See your plan as pins on a map to spot any wasteful backtracks before you book the trains.
